Veggielution is going on the road! We’re going to visit two local farms, with the option to pick ollalieberries, too.

Fat Cabbage Farm is a new farm in Pescadero, and Pie Ranch is more established, with a great youth program that we want to learn more about. The tour is Saturday 18 July, seeing Fat Cabbage first, then hitting Pie Ranch at 2 pm. Pie Ranch will be having its own volunteer work day that day, followed by a potluck and barn dance in the evening. There is a small donation for Pie Ranch, of $5 per person.

Also in Pescadero is Coastways Ranch, where the U-pick ollalieberry season is in full swing.

Pescadero is between Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay; count on about 1 hour and 20 minutes to get to Fat Cabbage Farm from San Jose.
